220 tonnes of GHG reduction in 2024
Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
At Glooscap Ventures, sustainability is more than a commitment — it’s a responsibility. In 2024, we reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 220 tonnes through targeted clean energy investments that benefit both our community and the environment.
Our 2024 GHG Reductions Came From:
-
Solar energy installation at Yarmouth Bar Fisheries
-
Solar system expansion at Glooscap Landing
-
Installation of 2 new electric vehicle (EV) chargers
-
Energy efficiency upgrades company wide
These initiatives help lower operating costs, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and move us closer to energy independence—all while aligning with Net Zero goals and the stewardship values of Glooscap First Nation.
Equivalent to removing ~47 gas-powered vehicles off the road for a year.

We are building the next generation of prosperity—by growing our businesses, investing in our people, and creating a strong economic foundation for future generations.
